Released in 2019 by Owlchemy Labs, I worked as a Designer and Gameplay Engineer building this vibrant virtual world.
RICK and MORTY:
Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-Ality was produced by Owlchemy Labs and Adult Swim. I worked as a Unity Engineer as our team successfully launched the game in early 2017. This game was incredible to work on and presented us with a new set of challenges, including moving and teleporting through play spaces and generating 3D bipedal characters. This title launched on the HTC Vive and Oculus + Touch, and released later for PlayStation VR.
In July 2018, we were nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Creative Achievement in Interactive Media Within a Scripted Program.

This was my first published title! Job Simulator was produced by Owlchemy Labs, out of Austin, TX, and I worked as a Unity Engineer as our team successfully launched the game in early 2016. This is one of the premiere Virtual Reality games for the new generation of VR hardware and was a launch title for the HTC Vive, Oculus Touch, and PlayStation VR.
The year is 2050 and robots have taken over all jobs. Humans are missing the good ole' days, so the kind robots have put together a museum where the humans can experience some of the best jobs from way-back-when.
AND THE AXE OF TIME
I was Programmer & Systems Designer in this award-winning student project produced at the Vancouver Film School. Our 4-person team worked on this project over 4 months, and the project was the winner of the "Best Final Project" award. It can still be found in the school's digital arcade.
In this melee-based brawler, the player helps Jack Lumberman gain his revenge on the logging robots that took his home and his hand. Summon clones of Jack to build an axe-wielding army powerful enough to reclaim the forest.

Legions of hell are attacking Canada, and only Canadian patriot Dr. Mito can defeat them! This twin-stick shooter was my first go at AI-controlled enemy types, including a multi-staged boss. For this project I also built an intuitive drag-and-drop level and encounter design system, with options for camera movement, enemy spawns, and hazards, which allowed our team's level designers to quickly and efficiently build out the game.
